The American College of Forensic Examiners Institute (ACFEI) is pleased to offer this online continuing education portal. ACFEI members can use this website to access online certification courses and other continuing education opportunities. Our first online certification course offering will be the Certified in Homeland Security Level-IV (CHS-IV) course: Incident Awareness, Response and Terrorism. This course is designed for current CHS-III members and allows them to earn their advanced level of Certification in Homeland Security at CHS-IV. You must be Certified in Homeland Security at Level III to take this course. If you are not already Certified in Homeland Security at Level III, please call (800) 423-9737 or email for more information.

About the CHS-IV Course: The Incident Awareness and Response portion of the course will provide an understanding of the differences between a HAZMAT (HMI) incident and an NBC (Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical) incident. It will define and provide an understanding of the importance of incident management and its challenges. The Terrorism portion of the course will review domestic and international terrorist groups that may engage the United States in WMD-related incidents, covering documented, historical facts and events that have occurred to date. It is designed to present an in-depth analysis of domestic and international terrorism in the world today. Topics to be covered in the course include "lone wolf" and organized terrorist groups engaged in WMD incidents involving Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and High-Yield Explosives (CBRNE).

Must have passed FEMA IS-800.A "National Response Plan (NRP)"
